Dirt Rich shifts focus from greenhouse gas emissions to carbon draw down, the only viable solution for reversing the effects of global warming in a timely manner. Through exploration of geo-therapy strategies, Marcelina Cravat’s illuminating new film shines light on their value and beauty which might be our last hope for protecting life as we know it on this challenged planet.
Through regenerative agricultural practices, reforestation, protection or restoration of carbon rich wetlands and keystone species, Dirt Rich illustrates how implementing these strategies could return our atmosphere to safe levels of carbon while growing soil, our most precious resource.
“Touching, instructive, endearing, astute, grounded, heartwarming, and remarkable. Adjectives cannot describe how skillfully Dirt Rich portrays the emergent wisdom of the new breed of earth stewards, scientists, smallholders, agronomists, and activists who brilliantly husband land (and animals) in order to midwife a regenerative civilization.” – Paul Hawken
